Magnolia Springs Field Trip

Lots and Lots of pictures hope you enjoy.
Monday we went on a field trip to Magnolia Springs in Millen Ga.
with our co-op group. We had a great time. These pictures
are seriously out of order.

Bridge going across to the Aquarium.

After most of the people on our trip had left a few of us stayed
around and went on a nature trail.

Some of the guys trying to get the alligator to come and visit us.

Waiting for the gator at the lake.

He came to visit us. I think he was looking for food.

The Forestry Service gave us a lesson on all the products that
are made from trees and the importance of trees.

Kids listening to the rangers.

Magnolia Springs was once a prison camp. It was the largest
in the world at the time but it was only used for six weeks.
All the prisoners died from sickness.

Everyone listening to another ranger about the history of
Magnolia Springs and the prison camp.

One of the many turtles that we saw in the spring . We also
saw a huge bass along with an alligator and a few other fish.

We had a fishing rodeo. It wasn't the best time of the day
for fishing but the kids enjoyed it anyway.

Everyone getting their poles.

Scott and the kiddos finding their fishing spot.

Settled in.

Cade decided the normal way doesn't work so he changed the rules!

Kids during the forestry presentation.

Our friend Liz and her kids Tamara, Kaley,Kyron, and Shawn
also came to our field trip. (Hope you enjoyed it!)

The boys looking at the fish in the aquarium.

Cade and his buddy (H) Ian were checking things out together.

Time to pet the alligator.

He was a little hissy.

We really enjoyed the trip and we were really happy that
Daddy was able to go with us. We can't wait for the pottery
painting coming up in December. We love our co-op friends.
